My aim as your wedding photographer is to let you enjoy your day, to artfully capture the story of your event while being a shadow in the back ground and not a focal point in the foreground.
To me the essence of shooting a wedding is to record the authentic behaviour, the laughter, the tears, the joy and emotions that create your unique love story, one to withstand the test of time.
What I love about my work is creating that one image that will trigger memories of a story that will never fade. I see your project as a little adventure that will consume me at every step from lighting, colours and location.
As a youngster I started travelling a fair amount, only settling into my area properly at the age of 25. At this point I started spending a lot of time with my Nan, as she was alone. What we spent most of our time doing was going through old photographs and I quickly started to see the importance of these memories.
Through the arrogance of youth I believed that I would always remember my days of travelling and never took a camera anywhere, but as the years have passed my memories have faded. Between the time spent with my Nan, her reminiscence of past times and my own jaded memories darkening I picked up the camera and have never looked back.
Photography to me is about creating beautiful memories that transcend between art and genuine interaction with people and the planet we live in.
